Job Shadowing Opportunities for Students

In addition to longer term Student Internships, short term Job Shadowing opportunities will be offered through the CATEP grant. In its most traditional sense, Job Shadowing is a program for high school students to find out what it is like to be in a specific profession. For CATEP, this experience will be extended to ACC and Aims students as well. It will involve spending some part of a day directly with an individual in a company, experiencing the exact same thing that they are experiencing. Not only is this valuable for trying to determine if a student would want to enter that profession, but for seeing – first hand – how employability/soft skills are used on a daily basis by individuals in the workplace.
