Externships
The CATEP grant provides for High School and Community College workplace experiences through company offered externships. Paid externships allow faculty members to experience first-hand the need for and importance of improved soft skills in the workplace. Thanks to our partners and other participating companies, faculty members have the opportunity to spend some time in the field and interact with company employees and management. These experiences can be brought back to the classroom and used to justify curriculum modification and subsequently enhance the teaching of the soft skills.
